The tradition of drinking chicory beverages

In Europe, the practice of roasting and preparing beverages with chicory root began as early as the 16th century. The brew made from roasted cereals and chicory was strongly believed to have a positive effect on human health. Today, the tradition of drinking such beverages is still alive. However, they can now be consumed in the form of a soluble powder.
