The final taste and aroma of a cereal or chicory beverage depends on the careful roasting of cereal (barley, rye, spelt), chicory, or dandelion.

Roasting involves subjecting raw materials to high temperatures. Grana’s automatic process control ensures strict adherence to technological parameters, including those concerning the colour and degree of roasting.

Cereals are roasted in a drum furnace, while chicory and dandelion are roasted in a conveyor belt furnace.

Each bit of raw material requires different temperature and roasting time.

An experienced employee oversees the entire process, which is of key importance to the final flavour, on which he or she has the last word.
