Innovative cereal beverage for children

In January 2019, we started a project aimed at developing innovative cereal beverage for children aged 2-3 years. The product will feature a reduced amount of impurities and increased nutritional value, adapted to the nutritional needs of young children. The developed recipe will be a new product category.

The project is co-financed by European Funds. Project budget: 2 120 082,87 PLN,  EU co-financing: PLN 1,103,726.83

The Allergy & Free From Show

The Allergy & Free From Show in London (7-9 July 2017) and Liverpool (4-5 November 2017) is a great way to meet current and potential Barleycup customers. For decades, Barleycup has been available on the shelves of health food shops on the UK. The crowds get bigger every year, and include consumers with gluten-free diets and food intolerances, vegetarians and vegans, and those who value healthy living and eating. Our cereal and chicory drinks, Barleycup and Chicorycup, which are certified by Coeliac UK (a charity for people with coeliac disease), are not only a response to the needs of consumers with specific nutritional requirements, but of those who are looking for caffeine-free alternatives to coffee and tea. During the fairs, consumers had the opportunity to sample our products, and buy them for discounted prices. The fairs were attended by 37,000 in London, and 11,000 in Liverpool.

Anuga – 7-11 October 2017

In October 2017, GRANA presented its offer of cereal and chicory drinks at the Anuga International Food Fair. This five-day fair takes place every two years in Cologne, and is the largest event of its kind in the world. GRANA’s products were displayed at the CAFEA Group’s stand, where we promoted our latest blends of coffee substitutes based on barley, rye and chicory. Over 700 exhibitors from over 100 countries, as well as around 165,000 visitors, demonstrate that Anuga is a world-class event for consumers and representatives of the food industry.

Effie Award for the Inka campaign

Inka’s advertising campaign, “Combine pleasant with practical,” which we collaborated on together with San Markos, received the bronze Effie Award in the category of food and drink. “The Effie® Awards is the most important and prestigious marketing competition in the world. It sets the standards for market efficiency, and promotes exemplary communication activity. The first edition was organized in New York in 1968 by the American Marketing Association, and now takes place in 40 countries around the world. Competition entries are evaluated in terms of strategic challenges and objectives, as well as ideas of communication and their practical implementation on the market.”

Inka honoured with Superbrands award

Inka, the Polish market leader of cereal-based instant beverages (coffee alternatives), is the winner of the tenth edition of the Superbrands competition, and a recipient of the “Created in Poland Superbrands” award for the strongest Polish brands. Along with 41 other winning companies, Inka was granted the award on the basis of both consumer and expert opinion.

Barleycup – a perfect coffee substitute – at the Natural & Organic Products Europe trade show

On 17-18 April, we participated in the Natural & Organic Products Europe trade show in London, where we presented products from Barleycup and Chicorycup. Barleycup products are a caffeine-free drinks – coffee alternatives. They enjoy huge popularity on the British market and are available in health food chain stores. Chicorycup is a brand of products based on instant roasted chicory with organic versions also available. The trade show attracts approximately 10,000 visitors every year and is an opportunity for 650 exhibitors to promote natural products that are part of a healthy diet. Both gluten-free instant beverages based on cereals and chicory, Barleycup and Chicorycup are just what customers want.
